Mexican Cake

A weekend getaway with the girls was the original plan, so a spa cake would be more fitting for my good friend’s birthday. But her hubby called me and asked me, if I can make a cake for her. I asked if he had a specific theme in mind, and all he said was, we’ll have chips and salsa, so something Mexican? Mexican it is… First thought was, a Mexican with a sombrero and a guitar… but the colorful red, green and yellow caught my eyes and decided to make a Mexican rug, on top of the cake with a sombrero, maracas and chilis.
